Talk like a pirate. Dress like a pirate. Maybe it’s time to go out to sea for many fortnights like a pirate, huh?

A couple weeks ago I saw a group of about 30 bikers (bi, not motor cycle) hanging outside of a bar all dressed in pirate garb yelling “Arr” over and over. Did anything else about their gathering seem interesting? Nope. Just a bunch of noise.

I say, if you’re gonna do this pirate thing, don’t half-ass it. I want to see a ship in the harbor, barrels of gun powder, the plank, maybe a cannon or two, and some bloodshed. Otherwise, shut up - you’re just playing dress up.

So to all the wannabe pirates out there I’m gonna say the same thing I’d say to Bono - Enough already, I get it.
